William Robert Bird

William Robert Bird (Bill), beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, cousin, and friend passed away at Promise Hospital, (LDS) on November 25, 2016. His wife, Eska, was with him when he passed away. His death was the result of an automobile accident occurring a few weeks earlier.
Bill was born on September 9, 1964 in Hollywood, California. He moved with his family to northern Idaho at the age of 6 where his father attended the University of Idaho. He lived in various places in Idaho where his father practiced law. He moved with his family to Pocatello in 1978 where he lived most of the remainder of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Eska, his step children, Kalob and Aschia Cornwall, his son Brock, 2 daughters Cassie and Megan, as well as his 5 grandchildren. He is further survived by his parents, Bill and Janice Bird, 3 brothers, Brian, Vincent and Rick. He is also survived by 8 sisters, Alisa Kirkland, Lora Lawrence, Debra Jolley, Teresa Thompson, Meri Beth Niederhauser, Cherie Robison, Shauna Dick and Rachelle Christensen. He is also survived by 32 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bradley.
He finished Highland High School, in Pocatello, Idaho where he was a star football player. He was considered by his coach as being the strongest player on the team. He attended 1 year at Idaho State University.
He was a journeyman carpenter having worked on many big projects including a move set in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a foreman on a number of projects, and a super intendant at Sportsman Warehouse in Pocatello, Idaho.
He was a avid fisherman and worked on a fishing boat in Alaska. He was a fan of most sports especially the NFL teams.
He was a member of the LDS Church and had an intense interest in the signs of the times. He was a student of world news, current events, especially politics.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3 in Logan 11th ward chapel at 195 S 100 E at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held at 9:30 AM in the Relief Society Room. Interment will be in the Millville/Nibley cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary.
