Carrie Louisa Everton Singleton (1956-2025) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carrie, who departed this life on October 8 at her home in Providence. Born on November 24, 1956 in Logan, UT to George B. and Louise Mathews Everton. Carrie served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Quito, Ecuador mission. She was an RN, graduating from Weber State University and worked at several hospitals and for doctors who were also good friends. Carrie was an extraordinary example of faith, perseverance, and love to all those who knew her. Family was everything to her.
Carrie is survived by her children Mathew, Lexie, Mason, Marcus, Lindie, and Marshall, , her mother, Louise Everton, and siblings, Lee, Andrew, and Marion. She is preceded in death by her father George Everton, and siblings; Stephen, Peter Mathew, and Elizabeth Anne Everton.
A quote from Joseph B. Wirthlin says, “One of the blessings of the gospel is the knowledge that when the curtain of death signals the end of our mortal lives, life will continue on the other side of the veil. There, we will be given new opportunities. Not even death can take from us the eternal blessings promised by a loving Heavenly Father.” We are comforted in this belief and that Carrie has been reunited with her lost loved ones, and that she’s in a better place where she can continue to serve, love and grow.
A viewing will be held at the Allen-Hall mortuary on October 17 from 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held on October 18 at 262 Canyon Road in Providence at 11:00 am. A brief viewing from 9:30-10:30 am that day will also be available.
