Carson Eric Sorensen was born on December 9, 1998, and left us far too soon on November 4, 2025, after a courageous battle with B-cell lymphoma. Throughout his life, Carson was a beloved son, partner, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence touched everyone around him deeply.
From a young age, Carson’s vivacious spirit and infectious smile made him beloved by all who knew him. His laughter could light up any room, and his warmth drew people in effortlessly. As a caretaker at a daycare, he was cherished by the children he looked after, who adored his kindness and gentle nature.
Carson faced every challenge with unwavering hope and positivity. Even in the face of illness, he remained a hero to all, confronting his battle with remarkable courage and a smile that inspired everyone around him. His love for plants reflected his nurturing soul, and his devotion to his dogs, Lola and Stella, showed the depth of his compassion.
Carson was preceeded in death by his grandfather Max Gyllenskog. He is survived by his loving parents, Diana and Brent Cunningham, and Eric and Krissee Sorensen; his devoted partner, Ben Soto; his siblings Kassi, Kayli, Brittany, Brody, Kylee, Haylee, MacKenzie, Hannah, Hayden, and Hallee; grandparents Eva Gyllenskog, John and Lois Sorensen; well as his nieces, nephews, many cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless friends who will miss him dearly.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful doctors, nurses, and hospital staff who tirelessly worked to provide Carson with the best care possible during his battle. Special thank you to Shelley Boldan, his trial nurse, for her unwavering support and encouragement.
The family extends special gratitude to aunts and uncle- JoAnna, Mike, Hydee, and Emilee- for their compassionate support during Carson’s final week.
Carson’s legacy is one of strength, love, and joy. He will be remembered not only for the battles he fought but for the light he brought into the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. His spirit lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, a lasting reminder of courage and hope.
By the way, Carson is famous.
