Clara Mae Crosswhite Brown passed away September 29,
 
 2006 in Logan, Utah. She was eighty-three years old.
 
 
 She was born July 5, 1923 in Charleston, West
 
 Virginia, the fifth of nine children of Ike Andrew
 
 Crosswhite and Clara Maud McCune.
 
 
 Clara met and married Lael V. Brown of Trenton, Utah
 
 when he was stationed in Baltimore, Maryland during
 
 WWII. They moved to Logan where they raised two boys
 
 and built a rental properties business.
 
 
 Clara was a tall, beautiful, smart, and spirited woman
 
 with a generous and playful heart. She was an avid
 
 reader, enjoyed collecting, and managed her properties
 
 up to her passing.
 
 
 She is survived by two sons: Robert L. (Sandra) Brown
 
 and Michael S Brown; granddaughter Jennifer Nielson;
 
 grandson Todd (Stacy) Brown; and six
 
 great-grandchildren. Three sisters also survive her:
 
 Margaret White and Marjorie Miller, both of Portland,
 
 Oregon; and Mary McCallister of Millwood, West
 
 Virginia.
 
 
 It was Clara’s wish that there be no public service.
 
 The family will have a private celebration of her life
 
 at a later date. She will be missed.
