After an impactful life filled with laughter, adventure, and deep love for his family, Daniel Scott Swenson, 36, passed away on November 6, 2025. He was born on June 13, 1989, in Logan, Utah, to Larry and Karren Swenson, and from the very beginning, he brought energy and laughter to everyone he met.
Danny had an incredible ability to connect with people. Whether he was meeting someone for the first time or catching up with an old friend, he had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and genuinely cared for. Many might say they were his best friend, and you would probably be right! He had a genuine interest in everyone. When he looked you in the eyes, you knew you mattered. Those special connections helped Danny pull you through your own personal struggles and feel loved when you needed it.
Danny’s life was an adventure from the very start. He never shied away from taking chances or trying something new. Whether it was exploring the outdoors, diving into a new project, or making spontaneous plans with friends. His path led him to many places, but none held more memories than Providence Canyon. Campfires, late-night drives, and even digging himself out of the mud taught him lessons about life that few get to experience.
But among all his adventures in that special place, one stood above the rest, the night he met Erica. That moment began the greatest journey of his life, one he cherished every single day. Danny and Erica were married on November 2, 2012, and recently celebrated 13 wonderful years together. Their love story is carried on in the laughter and joy of their greatest accomplishments, their children: Victoria Scott, Lincoln Larry, and Scarlett Johnel.
Danny loved his family more than anything. He shared his dreams and his days with Erica, building a home filled with love, laughter, and protection for their kids. Erica was not only the love of his life but also his steady anchor when life’s storms rolled in.
If you ever spent time with Danny when he was younger you probably heard him say, “Let’s just do it… we won’t get caught.” That morphed into “Let’s just do it… it’ll be fine” as an adult. That simple phrase captured his adventurous spirit and his unwavering optimism. It’s how he lived his life. Boldly, joyfully, and always ready for the next adventure. Professionally, Danny worked hard in a variety of sales positions in Cache Valley UT, Southern California, and Houston Texas, eventually managing international accounts for his most recent employer. No matter where he went, his natural gift of charisma and integrity earned him lasting friendships and respect. Beyond his career, Danny’s heart was in service. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and an Eagle Scout, always willing to lend a hand, offer a smile, or lighten a moment with his great sense of humor.
Danny is survived by his beloved wife, Erica; their children, Victoria, Lincoln, and Scarlett; his parents, Larry and Karren Swenson; his siblings, Kelli (Mike Pabst), Christine (Cliff Bliss), Joanna Bingham, and Andrew (Brooke Swenson); in-laws Martin and Johnel Williams , Grandma Karma Waite, and many nieces, nephews, and friends who adored him. He was preceded in death by loved ones who now welcome him home, and we are grateful for that belief.
