Darryl Joseph Fillion

Our dearly, beloved son, brother, and uncle, Darryl (Wyatt) Joseph Fillion, born February 27, 1970, passed away on July 27, 2026. He was no stranger to adversity and struggled through many obstacles in his life. He has now joined our Lord and Savior and those who have passed before him.

Darryl was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He spent much of his childhood living in Florida, and found his home in Utah, with his final stop being Rocky Mountain Care in Logan, Utah. Darryl’s strength and joy was getting to know people. His heart was immense with care, love, and humility. Family was the cornerstone of Darryl’s life! As a little brother he is remembered for being bold and looking up to his older siblings; whether it be climbing to the highest part of the swing set or traversing a makeshift bridge across a creek. As an older brother he is remembered as always being full of laughter and imagination, often spending time playing and splashing in the pool. Darryl loved music and singing. A specific occasion being when Darryl sang on stage to an audience and received a standing ovation. The song was “Lean on Me” by Bill Withers. This song title embodies exactly who Darryl was and what he represented. Had he been given the means and opportunity, he would have allowed anyone to lean on him; as he would literally give all he had to help someone else.

Most of all Darryl will be remembered by so many for his selflessness, his enduring spirit, and appreciation for the smaller things in life. We will forever be grateful for his love and acceptance that will stay with us always. We will hold him in our hearts until we meet again. We are also thankful to all the caregivers and those who befriended Darryl over time. Their kindness was essential to the quality and mission of his life.

Darryl is preceded in death by his father Arthur Joseph Fillion Sr. stepmother Janice Fillion and his sister Marybeth Fillion. He is survived by his mother Barbara Sikes, his stepfather Wayne Sikes, sisters Cori (Frank), Jennifer (Joey), Tracey, and Amanda (Evan), and brother Arthur, two nieces, seven nephews, four great nieces and two great nephews.

His memorial is private for family; however, condolences may be sent to Allen-Hall Mortuary of Logan Utah. Interment is at Leavitt’s Aultorest Mausoleum in Ogden Utah.
