Dennis Nathan Friedli, Logan, UT, passed peacefully Friday morning, August 2 at Maple Springs Nursing Home. Dennis was born on July 26, 1951 in Logan, the oldest son to Nathan Carl and Sharon Seamons Friedli. Surviving are his wife, Diane Bennett Friedli of Franklin, ID, his brother David James (Lee) Friedli of Monterey, Cal and his sister Jerilyn (Paul) Parks of Hyde Park, UT along with many friends who loved and respected him. He is preceded in death by both his parents.
Dennis was energetic and a fun loving friend and the best big brother two siblings could have asked for. Dennis was thoughtful, kind, full of fun and was looked up to by everyone who knew him. He loved to spend time with friends and family in the beauties of nature and achieved the rank of Eagle scout in his youth.
At the age of 13, life took a different turn for Dennis as he was diagnosed with a brain tumor which he battled valiantly against and overcame the challenges that brought with it. With an upbeat spirit and an infectious sense of humor, Dennis was not going to be denied the joys of life.
While attending Logan City schools, Dennis played the saxophone in the school band and also in a traveling dance band that took him throughout northern Utah and southern Idaho.
On completion of an LDS mission to Southern California, Dennis returned to Logan to begin a successful 30 plus year career at Schreiber Foods. During this time period he met and married Diane Bennett of Idaho in the Logan LDS temple. For 40 years of life's ups and downs, they remained sweethearts and successfully negotiated the challenges of life together.
Dennis loved everything about cars, from the mechanics, to restoring the body, to its original beauty. Following the example of his uncle Delwyn Friedli, Dennis successfully restored several cars which he was proud to enter in the Cache Cruise In.
Dennis truly loved all things beautiful.
We would like to give a special thanks to those who cared for him in his last days of his life at Maple Springs, including the office staff, therapist, nurses and CNAs, we love and appreciate you.
