Esther Marie Webber Rust, 89, died peacefully at her
 
 home on Mother’s Day surrounded by her family and with
 
 her husband of 67 years, Robert “Bob” W. Rust, at her
 
 side. Esther was born February 12, 1917 in Logan, UT.
 
 She was the daughter of Marie Havertz and Albert
 
 Webber. She was the mother of Richard W. Rust (Colleen
 
 Cripps) and Jeanne Marie Anspach of Reno, Nevada,
 
 Alice Glenn (Don) of Seattle, Washington, grandmother
 
 of Michele Marie Clonts (Jim) of Logan, Utah, Jay
 
 Anspach (Debbie) of Portland, Oregon, Tom Rust of
 
 Reno, Nevada, and Gloriann and Robert T. Glenn of
 
 Seattle, Washington, great grandmother of Logan James
 
 Anspach, Dylan James Anspach and Megan Marie Anspach
 
 of Portland, Oregon.
 
 
 She graduated from Logan High School in 1934 and Utah
 
 State Agricultural College in 1938 with a degree in
 
 English and Physical Education. She taught at Vernal
 
 Utah for a year before marrying Bob, the love of her
 
 life on August 26, 1939. Bob and Esther and their
 
 children were sealed in the Logan temple in 1952. She
 
 taught P.E. at Logan Junior High School and South
 
 Cache High School. She then took time off to raise her
 
 children. After her children were in school, she
 
 returned to work as secretary to the Boy Scouts of
 
 America and cooked every summer at Camp Hunt. She
 
 became the head secretary at Logan High School until
 
 she retired in 1980. In addition to working full time
 
 at the High School and raising three children, Esther
 
 also helped Bob by taking care of the books at the
 
 Royal Bakery.
 
 
 She was a very active member of the 4th Ward church.
 
 She taught primary, Sunday School, Relief Society and
 
 eventually served as the Stake Primary President. She
 
 was also active in the Whittier School PTA.
 
 
 After she and Bob retired and sold the Royal Bakery,
 
 they traveled around the west during the winter,
 
 visiting their children and taking care of their
 
 grandchildren. Summers were spent gardening, fishing
 
 and hiking, and cooking dinners for the neighborhood.
 
 
 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be
 
 made to the Logan City Library, 255 North Main
 
 (435-716-9130).
 
 
 The family wishes to extend special thanks to Jody
 
 Kramer and Carla Griffith for their care, love and
 
 devotion to both Bob and Esther over the past two
 
 years.
 
 
 At Esther’s request, there will be no public viewing
 
 or funeral services. There will be a private viewing
 
 for family and close friends Tuesday, May 16th, at
 
 4:00 pm at Allen-Hall Mortuary. Graveside services
 
 will be held Wednesday, May 17th, at 2:00 pm at Logan
 
 City Cemetery, 1000 North 1200 East, Logan. Anyone
 
 wishing to pay their respects to the family is welcome
 
 to come by their home at 777 N. 7th E. after the
