Frank Gregson Robinson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, hard work, and love. He was born on July 18, 1945, in Richmond, Utah, where he was raised and developed the values that would guide him throughout his life.
Greg was a proud member of the last graduating class of North Cache High School. As a young man, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout, demonstrating early his dedication, discipline, and commitment to serving others. He later attended Utah State University, where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and graduated with a bachelors degree in History.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Greg served a mission in Sweden for two and a half years, an experience that strengthened his testimony and deepened his love for people and the gospel. On September 17, 1969, he married his sweetheart, Julie R. Morzelewski, in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together, they built a life centered on love, faith, and family, raising five children in Cache Valley, which Greg proudly called home throughout his life.
Greg was a dedicated professional and entrepreneur. He worked as an insurance agent, building Robinson Insurance with integrity and care for those he served. Later, he purchased CHEC Systems, a business that provided educational curriculum to middle and high schools across the United States. His work allowed him to travel extensively—something he truly loved—meeting people from all walks of life and expanding his perspective.
His service to others extended far beyond his professional life. Greg served faithfully in several LDS bishoprics, offering counsel, compassion, and leadership. He had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and lived it daily through Christlike service, love, and forgiveness.
Greg found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially in music and time spent doing the things he loved. He enjoyed driving his Mustang, riding snowmobiles, working his tractor on the farm, and traveling in his motor homes. He rarely missed his children’s sporting events and took great pride in cheering them on. Greg also loved gathering with family and friends, sharing laughter and good food. He especially enjoyed hamburgers, fries, diet Coke and ice cream—a love that began while working at his parents drive-inn, Jed’s Burger Bar.
After retiring, Greg returned to his roots in farming, which brought him immense happiness and peace. The land was his sanctuary, a place where he felt most at home and connected.
Greg will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his generous heart, his love of family, and his ability to bring people together. His life was a testament to the joy found in serving others and living with purpose.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jed and Helen Robinson; his brother, Albert LeRoy Robinson; his son, Timothy Jed Robinson; and his granddaughter, Grace Ann Robinson. He is survived by his wife Julie R. Robinson, his daughter-in-law Megan (Ben) Warden, children Scott (Kelley) Robinson, Brad (Jennifer) Robinson, Melissa Petersen, and Doug (Krista) Robinson, 26 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and his sister Jane Robinson-Larsen. His family and dear friends will miss him deeply.
Greg battled Parkinson’s for 20 years. The family would like to thank his doctors and all of his caregivers through the years, as well as the staff at Maple Springs and Ascend Hospice, for their compassionate care.
