Gayle Annette Wuthrich Andersen

December 30, 1938 — March 20, 2024

North Logan, Utah

Gayle Annette Wuthrich Andersen also known as Gink.

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on a beautiful spring afternoon on March 20, 2024 in her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was 85 years old.
She was born on December 30, 1938 in Logan Utah to Rudolph and Irene Wuthrich. She attended Logan schools and graduated from Logan High. She met her sweetheart Ed (Eddie) Andersen at the Logan skating pond.  He noticed this stunning young lady and decided to skate up behind her and  quickly snatch her stocking cap; 4 years later he snatched her heart and married her!

They were married on July 26, 1957 in the Logan Utah Temple and have been loving companions for 66 years.  They have four children, Julie, Jill, Eric and  Scott.  Whom she adored, cherished and served throughout her life.

Gayle was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Over the years, she served her Heavenly Father in various callings.  Her favorite calling was serving alongside her husband as full-time missionaries in the Washington DC Temple.

She had many Christlike attributes that will go with her into eternity.  She was a faithful daughter of God, a loving wife and dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She truly invented the title “homemaker” and everything she touched became more beautiful. She was a great support and hard worker in their family business Logan Six Star for over 20 years.  She appreciated nature especially the birds and flowers.  Gayle counted it a blessing to live in Cache Valley surrounded by the mountains and streams.  She graced the earth with her life well lived.

She is survived by her faithful husband, Ed “Andy”, daughter Julie (Chuck) Smith, daughter Jill (Shawn) Bailey, son Eric (Shanna) Andersen, son Scott (Kristi) Andersen, 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren.  Gayle is survived by two brothers, Jerry (Pauline) and John (Kathryn) Wuthrich, sisters Diane Wuthrich and Susan Deauvono, sister-in-laws Delona Wuthrich and Donna Sisk and many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death : her mother and father Rudolph and Irene Wuthrich, sister Joan Brown, and brothers Reid and David Wuthrich and a stillborn brother.

A special thanks to so many loving caregivers for improving the quality of her life over the past few months.  We especially thank our brother Scott for his constant loving care and devotion to our sweet mother.

A private funeral service will be held on Friday, March 29th. Condolences may be expressed online at www.allenmortuaries.com
