In Loving Memory of Geraldine “Jeri” Seamons Mair

Geraldine “Jeri” Seamons Mair, born on April 12, 1949, embarked on her final journey and peacefully passed away in her sleep on February 20, 2024. Jeri’s departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her, as she was truly the life of the party and a beacon of joy in the lives of all who crossed her path.  

Jeri grew up in Sandy, UT, until her senior year in high school when she moved to Paradise, UT where she met the love of her life, Wesley “Skip” Mair, and later married on December 30, 1966.  Married for 57 Years, they created a life and family for whom she adored.  They enjoyed spending time together, whether it be camping, going for rides on their side-by-side, playing cards, getting lottery tickets, or just being home with family and friends.  

Jeri lived a life characterized by love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to her beliefs.   Her infectious enthusiasm and zest for life made every gathering a celebration, turning ordinary moments into cherished memories.  Known for her warm and welcoming spirit, Jeri and the remarkable ability to make everyone feel at home, creating an atmosphere of acceptance and camaraderie wherever she went.

A dedicated advocate for her convictions, Jeri stood up fearlessly for what she believed in, leaving an indelible mark on the world through her passion and determination.   Her boundless love and forgiving nature were testaments to her remarkable character, fostering a sense of unity and understanding among those fortunate enough to call her family and friends.

Jeri found immense joy in traveling, most recently experiencing a 21-day European vacation.   Whether embarking on grand adventures in China or sharing stories of her experiences in Alaska or Iceland, she always found ways to appease her adventurous spirit and curiosity.  

At the core of Jeri’s radiant existence was her devotion to family and friends.  Her home was a haven of happiness, and the love she poured into her relationship created a foundation of strength and support.  Jeri’s unconditional love and acceptance touched the lives of many, leaving an enduring legacy of warmth and compassion.

Jeri leaves behind a lifetime of friendships, a testament to her ability to connect with people from all walks of life.  Her kindness, generosity, and genuine interest in others made her a cherished confidante and steadfast friend.  

Jeri is survived by her husband, Skip, their five children, Todd (Trudy) Mair, Bret (Kris) Mair, Andrea (Tony Johnson) Manning, Heather (Devin) Ware, and Tory (Brett Bunker) Mair, along with 17 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren, all whom knew they were her favorite.

Also survived by siblings, Larry Seamons, Arlene (Richard) Platts, Kathy (Marvin) Bunderson, Christy (Kenny) Carling, and Wes Seamons.  Along with in-laws, JoAnne Miller, Linda (Dale) Buzzell, LaFaun Floyd, Tip Tibke, Debbie Broberg, and Morris (Angie) Mair.  She is preceded in death by parents, Gordon and Jackie Seamons, and Earl Ransom, along with in-laws, Wesley and Marie Mair, Gary Miller, Colleen Tibke, and LaRee Floyd.  

As we mourn the loss of Jeri, let us also celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the countless lives she touched.  May her memory serve as a reminder to live life with passion, to love unconditionally, and to approach each day with the same joy and enthusiasm that defined her time with us.  In the spirit of Jeri’s enduring legacy, let us honor her memory by embracing the values she held dear and by spreading the love and warmth that she so effortlessly shared with the world.  Out of respect for her wishes, a funeral service will not be held.  Her family will celebrate her life at a later date.   Rest in peace, sweet Jeri, knowing that your light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were privileged to know and love you. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that if it be your choice to donate to the Utah Heart Association.
