Gilberto Salas

December 8, 1977 — March 6, 2026

Clarkston

Gilberto “Gilbert” Salas, 48, of Clarkston, Utah, unexpectedly passed away on March 6, 2026. He was born on December 8, 1977, to Maxine Salas in Tucumcari, NM and built a life centered around a deep love for his family. As an executive chef, Gilbert loved to create amazing food that could be shared with those he cared about. He was known for his kindness, his sense of humor, and the warmth he imparted on others.

Gilbert especially loved spending time with his family outdoors, finding joy in fishing trips, camping, and rooting for his team, the 49ers. He was also known for his specialty New York cheesecake, that he took great care to perfect and shared generously with his loved ones.

Gilbert is survived by his loving wife, Carmelita Salas; his children, Aztec (Kassi), Jaden (Cody), Kyra, and Emery; and his grandchildren, Ryker, Oliver, and Madelynn, all children of Aztec. He is also survived by his brother, Joe (Sara), and his mother, Maxine. Gilbert’s legacy lives on in the love he gave to his children, the food he created, and the countless memories shared with those who loved him.

We would like to invite all family and friends to honor his life at a memorial service this Saturday, March 14th, at 11:00 AM at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E Center in Logan, Utah. Your love, support, and presence would mean a great deal to us as we gather to remember and celebrate him. If you are unable to attend in person, a virtual option will be available.

Memories and condolences may be shared and expressed at www.allenmortuaries.com.
