Janice J. Ayala, age 69, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, warmth, and a family who adored her. Born on August 26, 1956, in Logan, Utah, Janice was the daughter of the late Edwin and Virginia Jones.

A lifelong creator, Janice had a unique vision for the world around her. After retiring, she dedicated her time to her passions at home, where she was happiest. Whether she was designing intricate flower arrangements or crafting handmade decorations, she had a rare talent for turning simple materials into beautiful works of art. Her kitchen was equally a place of magic, where her cooking and baking brought comfort to those she loved.

Janice is survived by her devoted children: sons Ed Palmer (Kim), Darrell Palmer, Don Palmer (Angie), and Lance Palmer (Marissa); and her daughter, Anna Ayala (Jared). She is also survived by her siblings, Dennis Jones and Tammy, as well as her many grandchildren and her great-grandchild, all of whom brought her immense joy. Her memory lives on through her extended family, including many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Benito Ayala; her son, Eric Palmer; her grandson, Eric Palmer Jr.; her parents; and her brothers, Eddy, Richard, and Norman Jones.

A Memorial service will be held to honor Janice on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E Center in Logan at 11:00 AM.
