LOGAN, UTAH: Josephine Allred Peterson, loving
 
 mother, faithful daughter, cherished wife,
 
 grandmother, and great grandmother passed away on
 
 October 14, 2006, and was finally reunited with her
 
 loving husband just in time for their 69th wedding
 
 anniversary.
 
 Josephine was born in Afton, Wyoming on April 19,
 
 1916. She was the daughter of Arlin and Irene Allred.
 
 She married her college sweetheart, Howard Peterson on
 
 October 15, 1937. She was the mother of four children,
 
 Sherid Howard (Jane), Linden Arlin (Diane), Jo
 
 Checketts, and Karen Fisher, and the grandparent of25
 
 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren.
 
 Josephine was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus
 
 Christ of Latter Day Saints. She has served in many
 
 callings, including Relief Society President.
 
 Josephine worked side by side with her husband,
 
 Howard, all of their lives in the hobby business,
 
 Specialty Distributors. Jo loved Arizona sunsets,
 
 gathering cactus wood and pinecones, and creating
 
 things of beauty. She was able to find joy in all
 
 nature.
 
 She is survived by her brother, Juan Allred,
 
 Kaysville, UT, sisters, Delsa Thomson, Provo, UT, and
 
 Lila Dunn, Mesa, AZ, and children and grandchildren
 
 mentioned above. She was preceded in death by her
 
 brother, Richard Allred, and sisters, Phyllis Spence
 
 and Norma Allred.
 
 Funeral services will be held at the Allen-Hall
 
 Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, Wednesday, October 18
 
 at 12:00. You may meet the family at a viewing from
 
 10:00 to 11 :30 prior to the funeral.
 
 The faniily would like to give special thanks to the
 
 Williamsburg Retirement Center for their love and care
 
 and to her many 14th Ward friends. Interment will be
 
 in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences and memories
