LEWISTON, Utah ---Julia Ann Meier Manteufel of Lewiston, Utah, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother passed away peaceful the afternoon of Friday , August 8th,2025 in Gold Canyon Arizona at her home at the age of 82.
Julia was born in Preston, Idaho the oldest of 3 children to Richard and Florence Meier. Julia was raised in a beautiful family, where family values were important to her. She enjoyed the outdoors and has always been in the garden or field along the side of her mother and father. Julia also had the oppurtunity to be raised on a large game bird farm in Lewiston. After graduating from school she went on to beauty school and later worked as a HR Manager in Lewiston and Elko, Nevada.
Julia married her best friend in 1981 (Merl Manteufel) and made their home in Lewiston. Later they moved to Elko, Nevada to work in the gold mines as a HR Manager. Then her curiosity moved her to Cascade, Idaho to try her hand at owning a restaurant and to be closer to her kids. After selling the restaurant she went back home to take care of her Mom in Lewiston and to be around family. Seven years ago we moved her to Superior, Arizona to be around her kids .
She will truly be missed by her children, Richard (Susan) Owen, Jackie (Tom) Price, Deanna (Jose) Olano, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held in Lewiston, Utah Cemetery on August 22nd at 11:00 am. There be a Viewing from 9:00am to 10:00am at Allen- Hall Mortuary in Logan, Utah 34 East Center St.
