Leslie Bruce Hobbs

May 15, 1940 — February 8, 2024

North Logan, Utah

Our wonderful husband and father passed away at the age of 83, peacefully and quickly with family  present in his home, early on Thursday, February 8, 2024. Bruce Hobbs was born in Preston, ID on May  15, 1940 to John Leslie Hobbs and Florence Willardsen Hobbs. Bruce learned the value of hard work at a  young age on the family dairy farm along side his father and brother. In high school, Bruce enjoyed  participating on the track team. He graduated from West Side High School. He served his mission in the  California Mission.

When he returned home, Bruce worked at Milo’s Grocery Store which launched a career in the grocery  business. He was sealed to his eternal sweetheart, Marjorie Knapp, on January 10, 1964 in the Logan  Temple and began their family. They just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary! He spent the  majority of his career as the produce manager at Smiths Food & Drug in Logan, UT. They moved to North  Logan, UT where they raised their family.

At a young age, Bruce developed a love for cars, which he enjoyed his entire life. Bruce had many  hobbies and talents, but developed a passion for golf when he attended Utah State University. Many  lessons were taught to his children on the golf course. Bruce served in the national guard. Bruce was a  member of the Church or Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as a Bishop, High Counselor and  Scout Master. His favorite calling was serving as temple officiators in the Logan Temple with his wife. He  had a strong testimony and love for the Savior Jesus Christ.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, John Leslie Hobbs and Florence Willardsen Hobbs, Bonnie Larson (sister) Kent (brother), Bryan Cox (son-in-law), and Olivia Cox (granddaughter).

He is survived by Marjorie his wife, his children Kristin Cox, Darrin (Elizabeth), Leslie, Sandy Daugherty (Jason), Melinda, Douglas (Bonnie), Doni (Paige), 19 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, his  sisters Jean Hopson and Angie Conlin.
