Liam Eric Thompson

Our beloved son, Liam Eric Thompson, was born at 5:00 AM on July 11, 2025, at Logan Regional Hospital. After seven miraculous and love-filled days, Liam peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father on July 18, 2025, at 5:00 AM at Primary Children’s Hospital, cradled in the arms of his mother and surrounded by family.

Though his time on earth was brief, Liam’s life was a sacred gift, a gift to his family, his community, and all those who followed his journey. He brought with him hope, healing, light, and joy. His spirit touched hearts across the world, and he continues to live on as a heavenly angel and protector.

Liam is the cherished son of Elora and Eric Thompson and beloved little brother to Marlee, Axel, and Hudson. His arrival fulfilled a divine purpose, one that carried his family through seven days of miracles. From the dedicated and loving care of the NICU nurses and doctors at Primary Children’s Hospital to the outpouring of prayers from across Utah, the nation, and as far away as Australia. Liam’s life united many in faith, hope, and love.

He was a warrior. Liam fought bravely, holding on for more time with his earthly family. But his mission was far greater than this life alone. In returning home to God, he now watches over us, guiding, protecting, and reminding us of what matters most.

Liam’s story is one of strength, sacrifice, and divine purpose. He taught us to cherish the small moments, to embrace trials as opportunities to grow, and to trust God’s plan, even when it doesn’t match our own. His life continues to inspire us to hug our loved ones tighter, pray with more intention, and find joy in every tender mercy.

A Celebration of Life for Liam Eric Thompson will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 465 N 300 E, Providence, Utah.

• Service: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

• Graveside Dedication: Following the service at Clarkston Cemetery

• Luncheon: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM, back at 465 N 300 E, Providence, Utah

“Thank you for the many prayers and fasting offered on Liam’s behalf. Your love and faith lifted us during the hardest week of our lives. While this wasn’t the outcome we hoped for, we know God had a greater plan for our little boy. We are so proud of our Liam — our little Warrior — and know he will do great things on the other side of the veil.

We are especially grateful to the NICU team who gave everything to help our son, and to the family and friends who carried us, physically and spiritually, through this sacred time. Your love gave us the strength to keep going, and we will forever be grateful.”
