Linda Gai Hartwell of Logan, Utah passed away on November 3, 2023. Linda Gai formerly of Las Vegas Nevada, daughter of Quince Alvey and Mary Clark was born June 26, 1945 in Las Vegas.

She graduated from Southern Nevada Vocational Technical Center. She married Paul Bartolome’ and had two children, Alice and Greg. She later married Richard Lee Hartwell and worked as the bookkeeper in the family Air Conditioning and Sheet Metal Business. She loved reading, needle point, making candy and having a good conversation with you. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked as the stake Librarian for over 5 years and then served in the Las Vegas Temple with her parents and sister for over 11 years. She loved working in the temple.

She moved to Logan, Utah in 2014 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. She loved the beauty of Cache Valley and being close to the grandkids. She took many adventures with them to Tony Grove Lake, up the canyon for picnics and over to Bear Lake. She loved all of it.

She is preceded in death by her parents Quince and Mary Alvey, her sister Jane Leany, and her husband Richard Hartwell. She is survived by daughter Alice (Gerry) Shepherd, grandchildren Rachael (Michael) Juarez, Emily (Hayden) Hislop, Thomas Shepherd and Samuel Shepherd, son Gregory Bartolome’, siblings Marie Leavitt and family and Raymond ( Melanie) Alvey and family, Sister-in-laws Patricia (Joseph)Temple, and Suzanne (Samuel) Ybarra. She was well loved and will be greatly missed. She was a kind and generous soul to all she met.

Memorial Service will be November 11, 2023, at 11 A.M. at the Logan South Stake Center 344 West 700 South Logan, UT. Interment at Providence City Cemetery 925 River Heights Blvd, River Heights UT.
