Lois Rochelle Holwig, age 87, passed into the loving arms of her waiting family on May 18, 2026. She was born December 30, 1938 in the Norfolk Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, Virginia. She was the third of seven children born to Kathryn and John Meyer.
Lois married Timothy Holwig in San Diego, California and they were later sealed in the Los Angeles Temple. A daughter Heather and son Timothy Jr. were born to that union. Her husband passed away after 38 years of marriage and Lois moved to Pioneer Valley Lodge where she resided for almost 10 years. Her daughter passed away in 2024.
Lois graduated from high school in Arizona and attended Arizona State University. After joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she served a mission to Uruguay/Paraguay. Throughout her life she enjoyed doing arts and crafts, baking and singing and always made scripture reading her priority.
Lois suffered a fall in 2025 and lived briefly at Maple Springs, transferred to Rocky Mountain Care and has resided at Autumn Care in Hyde Park for the past 7 months.
She is survived by her son Tim Holwig (Aron) and their three children Mason, Simon and Wren, son-in-law Kyle Perkins and children Thomas, Nathan, and Libby, brothers Charlie Meyer (Wanda), John Meyer (Colleen), sister Marylyn Regen (Bob), plus many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 420 E 1800 N, N Logan. A gathering will be held prior to the service at 10:00 AM in the same building.
The family wished to thank the many who cared for Lois during her last months.
