Jessie MarJean Maughan Baldwin Summers, affectionately known by those who loved and knew her as Marge, 92, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026 surrounded by her loving family at home.

Born on December 20, 1933, in the family home in Wellsville, Utah, MarJean was the first daughter born to Luther and Ivean Baldwin. A proud lifelong native of Wellsville and Paradise, her heart was always deeply rooted in her home, her community, and her faith.

MarJean spent her childhood making fond memories with her family and friends in Wellsville. She loved to take summer family trips to Yellowstone Park and to stop for nightly ice cream at the Hamilton Store; she embraced life with energy and enthusiasm that was contagious to all those around her. She attended Floradell Elementary, Wellsville Junior High, and South Cache High School actively participating in school council and leadership.

MarJean married her sweetheart, Sharell Summers, on March 7, 1952, at the Logan Utah Temple. Together, they built a vibrant life, raised their family on the farm, and celebrated 55 years of devotion before Sharell’s passing on April 4, 2007.Family was MarJean's greatest joy. She poured her heart into raising her children and supporting her husband on the farm. She loved going to the auction with Sharell and her son, Bryan. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings throughout her life—including Primary Pianist, Stake Young Women President, Compassionate Service Leader, and Ward Relief Society President. Her faith and dedication to service touched countless lives. She was a lifelong member of the DUP.

MarJean lived life to the fullest. She loved traveling with her family, whether visiting St George, Yellowstone, Jackson Hole or the trip of a lifetime to Israel. Grandma Marge had a love for sweets especially chocolate, popcorn Jelly Beans, blueberry donuts, and a daily Mt Dew. She loved watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren participate in sports and other activities. We will miss her cheers, her laughter, and the way she made each of us feel loved. She showed her children and grandchildren how to have fun, love without conditions, and show up for one another. She was their constant, loyal cheerleader; in the stands, from the car, and through every part of life.

MarJean is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sharell Summers; her parents, Luther and Ivean Baldwin; her sister, Pauline; her cherished daughter, Ronda Ann; and her daughter-in-law, Donna.She is survived by her children: Vickie (Jon) White, Allan (Diane) Summers, Bryan (Bonnie) Summers, and Pam (Paul) Norman; her siblings: Mark (Judy) Baldwin, RuthAnn (Kent) Henderson, and Reed (Joan) Baldwin; as well as 15 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, September 27, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, Utah. An additional viewing will take place prior to the services on Monday, September 28, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Paradise North Building, located at 9060 South 200 West. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment and graveside services will take place at the Paradise Cemetery following the funeral.
