Mary Gay Allen

April 16, 1965 — July 31, 2014

Mary Gay Allen returned home to the arms of our loving Heavenly Father on Thursday July 31,
2014 in Logan, Utah, following a lengthy illness.

Mary was born on April 16, 1965, in Petaluma, California, to Joseph Stoddard Allen and Imogene
Lee Allen. The moment she came to this earth she was a light to all those around her. She had
an infectious smile and laugh and was quick to express her love. She had lived in Petaluma and Cloverdale, California, as well as Logan, Brigham City, and Ogden, Utah.

Despite her limitations she was able to inspire those around her, whether she was at work or surrounded by her loving family. She loved the company of friends, roomates, co-workers and family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her, as we felt the light and love of our Savior through her. Mary is survived by her loving parents, Joseph and Mary Lou Allen, brothers Dwight (Penny) Allen, Mike (Rebecca) Allen, Joseph Sidney (Ruby) Allen, Chris (Kristine) Allen, Mark Hunter, and sisters
Suzanne (Greg) Gardner, Linda (Scott) Knudtson, and Sarah (Tim) Rhees. She is also survived by
many adoring nieces, nephews, and friends. Proceeded in death by her loving mother, Imogene
Lee Allen.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the Sunshine Terrace staff, Dennis Wildman and the Sunshine Hospice. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Sunshine Terrace-Memory Lane.

A funeral will be held on Monday, August 4, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. with a viewing prior from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Allen-Hall Mortuary located at 34 East Center Street in Logan, Utah. Internment will be in the Richmond City Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at www.allenmortuaries.net .
