Millie Good, age 85, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, in Springville, Utah. She was born on January 8, 1940, in Payson, Utah.
Millie was the kindest, most loving, and most selfless person - truly the heart of her family. She was known for her quiet strength and determination, completing whatever she set her mind to no matter how difficult the task. Her love extended far beyond words, as she helped raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with patience, devotion, and unwavering care.
She loved to travel, read, and take road trips - especially to see waterfalls, the ocean, and the changing colors of the fall leaves, or simply to go get ice cream, her favorite treat. She delighted in playing board and card games and cherished time spent with family.
Growing up, Millie worked as a babysitter and telephone operator. She later spent many years working in the controller’s office at Utah State University, where she eventually retired after a dedicated career.
She really enjoyed being able to see different parts of the world. One of her very favorite vacations was an almost month-long road trip across the United States and Canada, visiting family in Iowa, New York, and Connecticut, and discovering many off-the-beaten-path destinations along the way. She also loved traveling to New Zealand, Ireland, Vancouver Island, and Hawaii.
Millie’s life was defined by love, resilience, and generosity. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
Millie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stephen Good; her parents, Willis Young and Donna Pickering Young; her brothers, Gordon Young and Dean Young; and her cherished granddaughter, Ashley Bernam.
She is survived by two brothers: Don Young (Becky) and Steve Young (Leslie); her loving children: Randy Good; Shauna Good-Shaffer (Jim); Shelly Jensen; Scott Good (Vicki); Mark Good; and Kevin Good. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Michael Bernam, Alexa Jensen, Jeremy Bernam, Tanner Good, Dallin Good, Erica Good, Benjamin Good, and Graysen Good, as well as seven great-grandchildren (Vincent, Amara, Zoe, Casey, Kylee, Oliver, and Xander) who brought her immense joy.
