Nancy Campbell passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025 due to surgical complications following a brief illness.
Nancy was born on August 22, 1952 in Richland, Washington to Don Arden and Genevieve Laura Proctor Campbell.
She grew up and went to high school in Orange, California. In 1972 she married Kurtis Scott Kandler and moved to Ashton, Idaho where she raised her family before moving to Logan, Utah where she spent the last thirty years of her life.
Nancy loved squirrels and bluebirds, gardening, flowers, nature, music, reading, sewing, and teaching and studying the gospel. She was passionate about teaching youth and spent most of her adult life serving in teaching callings in the LDS church - Primary, Youth Sunday School, Gospel Doctrine, and Relief Society.
She was famous in her family for her delicious food, her unrivaled potato soup, and the yearly “Green Meal” she provided each St. Patrick’s Day. She was a meticulous gift giver, with thoughtful items chosen for loved ones wrapped in beautifully adorned packages.
She loved animals, had pets all of her life, and devoted herself to their care and comfort.She is survived by the family she loved and who loved her: children Judy, Audrey, Jaimie and Ethan Kandler, her most loved grandchildren, Eva Tablon, Finn Patterson, and Paisley Patterson, her favorite son-in-law Pat Patterson, siblings Stuart Campbell and Karen Demarcus, and her life-long partner-in-crime and best friend of 65 years, Pam Harrison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Lindon Campbell, and sister Susan Campbell Watson.
A private family service will be held to remember her.
