It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandma, sister, friend, Patricia Nyman passed away on August 11, 2026, in Logan Utah, surrounded by family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Nyman; her parents, John and Rhea Olsen; her brother Richard Olsen. She is survived by her children: Kirt (Sonja) Nyman, Smithfield, UT; Sandra (Steven) Providence, UT; Libby (Shane) Pace, FL; 8 grandchildren: Danielle, Shaun, Carissa, Eric, Jody, Amanda, Sam and Meg; 11 great-grandchildren; and Sisters Mary Jo (Michael), Kathleen (Jodie).
Patricia was born on April 16, 1943, in Logan, Utah, to John and Rhea Olsen. She was the second of four children. She attended South Cache High School. She met Donny in 1958.
Donny and Pat were married on June 30, 1959. They began their married life in Logan Utah, and they welcomed two children, Sandra and Kirt. They later build their family house together in College Ward, and welcomed their third child, Elizabeth.
Pat enjoyed horseback riding and camping with her family. She enjoyed reading, growing a garden every year, playing card games, spending time with her friends at Angies, teaching primary and time with her family. She worked as a seamstress, and later worked at the Logan Hospital, where she made lifelong friends.
She will be remembered for her genuine love, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and accepted. Her door was always open, whether someone needed a place to stay for a short time or a while, and she cared deeply for her children, grandchildren and all those who became part of her life. She had a special way of making each of her grandchildren and children feel as though they were her favorite, surrounding them with unconditional love and support
She was honest and never afraid to say what she thought, but behind that honesty was a deeply loving and generous heart. Her home was a place of comfort, belonging and acceptance. She treasured having her grandchildren around and was always there when they needed her.
Her absence will be deeply felt, but her family finds comfort in their faith and hope that she is at peace with her eternal companion Donny, parents and her brother.
A viewing will be held on Thursday August 13, 2026 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Allen Hall Mortuary 34 E Center St. Logan, UT. Graveside services will be held Friday, August 14, 2026 (bring an umbrella in case of rain) at 10:00 a.m. at the Logan Cemetery 1000 N 1200 E, Logan, Utah.
