Paul Anderson Parker

October 15, 1939 — June 11, 2025

Hyrum, Utah

Paul Anderson Parker, born October 15, 1939, passed away in the early morning hours of June 11, 2025, at his home in Hyrum, Utah.

Paul Parker was born to Alton and Leora Parker and was the third of four children. Growing up in Wellsville, he embraced the outdoors, spending his time fishing, hiking, and horseback riding through town. As a teenager, he worked at the Old Carnation Plant in Wellsville while also helping his family run their dairy farm.

Paul served an LDS mission in England from 1959 to 1961. His Mission was a meaningful chapter in his life—one that brought him immense joy and fulfillment. He took great pride in the number of baptisms his district performed, knowing the impact their work had on the lives of so many. Paul told his family and friends stories and fond memories from his Mission for the years to come.

Paul graduated from South Cache High School in Hyrum before joining the Army Reserves. After his time in the Reserves, he pursued higher education at Utah State University, where he earned a master’s degree in applied sciences.

His passion for education led him to South Cache Junior High School, where he dedicated 25 years to teaching History, Math and Hunter’s Education. Paul inspired generations of students, his legacy as an educator left a lasting impact on both his students and the community.

Alongside his dedication to teaching, farming was Paul’s true passion. In 1965, he established a thriving dairy farm in Hyrum, building it from the ground up with hard work and determination. Over the next 60 years, he and his family grew the business into a successful and well-respected dairy farm. The dairy employed countless kids over the years, where Paul provided a different kind of education.

During Paul’s later years, he enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. He was a people person and loved to share stories. Darlene knew to take a book or a cross-stitch project because she never knew how long she’d be sitting in the vehicle in case Paul ran into a friend to chat with.

Paul was married to his wife Lynda Nielsen Parker until her passing in 1971. Paul married Mabel Darlene Klopfenstein in 1972. Paul and Darlene were married for more than 54 years and raised 7 children.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Arlene Cooper, 2 brothers: Ralph Parker and Deloy Parker, and his daughter Angela. He is survived by his wife Darlene, 3 sons: Aaron Klopfenstein (Heidi), Kevin Parker and Brandon Parker, his 3 daughters: Jodi Jensen, Janell Crittenden (Troy) and Emmaly Shepard (Leslie), 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and his dog Joy.
