Reed Lloyd
Pearson
Jul 18, 1942 — Jun 17, 2026
Reed was born in Logan, Utah to Lars Wilhelm Pearson and Gladys Coville McCullock Pearson.
Reed Graduated from North Cache High School, in 1960. He Married his Sweetheart, Sandra Whitney, on: February 15th, 1963. They made their Home in Salt Lake City, Utah and it has been their Home ever since.
Reed started his Career as a Heavy Equipment Operator, as-soon-as he and Sandra moved to Salt Lake City. Reed joined the Operating Engineer Local 3 Union, in July of 1966. He was a 60 Years Retiree Member of the Union, at the time of his Passing.
Reed's Union Employers always depended on him to do the most difficult and dangerous jobs because they trusted his expertise in handling the large equipment and knew Reed would always get the job done safely and with expertise... all of his work was simply excellent. No man was ever injured on any job Reed was on, during his entire Career. Reed was told more-than once, by his co-workers: "You can scratch my back with that bucket, anytime!" Which; is a tremendous complement of trust, for an Operator to receive.
Reed and Sandra have two children, Kenneth and Robyn, who have brought so much joy and love into their lives. Reed loved the times, especially in Ken and Robyn's youth, when they would go camping, fishing and hunting as a Family. It was a large part of his upbringing and Reed wanted to pass those traditions forward, with his own children. As a Grandpa, Reed enjoyed attending his Grandchildren's activities and he always looked forward to his Great-Grandchildren's visits. Reed especially loved big Family gatherings, where he would BBQ, we would play cards and games, which; he secretly hoped he would win!
Reed was always an incredible provider for his Family... he prided himself in taking great financial care of his Family and believed this was his responsibility, right up until his last day with us.
Reed is our Family's Beloved Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, Brother and Uncle. He will be dearly missed and Forever Loved... until we meet again.
A private Family Service will be held in his honor.
