Robert Le Roy Imler, 74, passed away on 26 April 2025 peacefully at home in Logan, Utah, surrounded by his family. Robert struggled for 17 years with cancer.

Robert was born in Roaring Spring, PA to Warren and Louise Shoenfelt Imler on 8 Jan. 1951.

Robert graduated from Northern Bedford High School and University of Idaho. He taught music for over 32 years, touching many lives. He also shared his talent with ward and stake choirs. His granddaughter learned many instruments under his guidance.

On 1 May 1982, Robert married Orilla Ann Hughes, from Mesquite, NV, in the Jordan River Temple.

Robert was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He held many callings in the Church, including temple worker in the Manti temple and ward temple & family history leader. At the time of his death, he was a service missionary, teaching Institute Religion classes for the Pathway Program.

A devoted husband, Papa, Grandpapa, son, brother, and friend, Robert was known for his love of music and genealogy and sharing them with others. He also enjoyed having his grandchildren help in the yard and teaching them to read. Robert had a strong testimony and love for his Savior, Jesus Christ.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 43 years, Ann, and children Ellen Imler, Wesley Imler, Sara Stewart, and Robert Imler II, and his grandchildren Kisandra Stewart, Kaulder Stewart, and Niklaus Stewart, and his brother Donald Imler (Kerry Shirk) of PA.

We want to thank Dr. Anna Chalmers at Huntsman Cancer Institute, Dr Jared Manning and the many nurses at Gossner Cancer Center in Logan, Dr. Scott Grover and the nurses at the wound clinic at Cache Valley Hospital in Logan, and the nurses at Enhabit Hospice and Home Health for all the many hours of tender care.
