He married his high school sweetheart Ellen Dahle on June 23, 1961 in the Logan Temple. They enjoyed 61 beautiful years together raising their three children. Wherever there was a crowd, you could be sure Brent was in the middle of it.
Brent enjoyed competing in sports throughout high school and college where he played basketball and baseball. He graduated from Utah State University and went on to graduate from Pacific Coast Banking School in Washington. He spent 35 years in the banking industry, most of that with Zions Bank, and enjoyed his close relationships that were made throughout his career. He loved serving his community. He served on various committees in the community from the Kiwanis Club, Utah State University Board of Trustees, Utah Festival Opera & Theatre and The Bridgerland Applied Technology Center.

He was an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating, golfing, four-wheeling, multiple trips to Alaska and treasured family vacations.

Brent loved life, loved his family, and lived life to the fullest each day. He was Mr. Optimistic, always making the best of every situation.
