Ronald Gene Hymas, an adored husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 6, 2026 in his home in Hyde Park, Utah at the age of 80.

Ron was born in Logan, Utah on April 22, 1945 to Ernest and Delca Hymas. Growing up, Ron attended Logan City Schools, and was a proud graduate of Logan High School’s Class of 1963. Upon graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War for one year. After completing a total of two years of service, he was honorably discharged.

Ron married Marsha Wheeler on September 5, 1969 in Lewiston, Utah. Together, they built a life and raised two children, Travis and Michelle.

Ron was a pool shark, a master dart player, and a car lover–specifically, a lover of his 1973 silver Corvette. He worked with his family in their various businesses before working for, and retiring from, Thiokol/Northrop Grumman. Above all else, Ron will be remembered as someone who cherished his family very much.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Delca Hymas; his brothers, Richard and Keith Hymas; his sister and brother-in-law, Marlene and Eldon (Stu) Jensen; his sisters-in-law, Hope Hymas and Jonette Wheeler; and his in-laws, Ray and Florence Wheeler.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha; his son, Travis; his daughter, Michelle (Brett) Hansen; his grandchildren, Carter Hansen, Adisyn Hansen, Beau Hymas, and Davis Hymas; his brother, Gary Hymas; his sisters-in-law, Marge (Richard) Hymas and Beth (Keith) Hymas; his brother-in-law, Regan Wheeler; his brother- and sister-in-law, Rick and Cindy Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron’s family and friends would like to extend a special thank you to Symbii Home Health and Hospice; Ron’s hospice nurse, Bryanne; and Dr. Mark Huffman for their compassionate care.

Private Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a preferred charity.  Arrangements by Allen-Hall Mortuary.  www.allenmortuaries.com
