Obituary

RosaLee Ann Garner left on her final journey back to her heavenly home where there is no longer pain and sorrow. She was anxious to meet her Savior, all of her family who have passed before and many, many friends. We are quite certain her many cherished dogs were there to greet her as well.

RosaLee was born 28 June 1938 in the Logan Hospital. She was the seventh of seven children born to William Francis Garner and Anna LaRue Jensen Garner.

Rose lived in Hyrum on the family farm for 70 years of her life. She felt living in Cache Valley was a special blessing. Growing up she enjoyed night fames with the other neighborhood children, Kick the can was one of her favorites using a stick and a can. It was hard on the legs but so fun! Later she loved church baseball and often frightened some of the girls on the other team because she was so serious and determined. They never worried about strangers or being out at night. The doors were always unlocked day and night. everyone worked on the family farm and we learned at an early age the importance of working together. She worked in the fields hauling hay, thinning beets, picking beans, potatoes and herding cattle. Her other chores included helping mom in the house, canning and feeding the thrashers who came to help in the fields.

RosaLee attended school in the Cache County School District; Lincoln Elementary and South Cache High School, graduating in 1956. She worked at Lee's market in Hyrum for a short time then moved to work for First National Bank, when it was called First National Bank. Then she worked in a trailer on 5th North Main when the new Zions Pioneer Bank was built on the same block. She worked for 20 years for First National Bank and another 21 at Zions Bank. Rose loved working for the bank and was loved by the employees and many other people who sought her out. She started out as a clerk and worked her way to the top. She was made Assistant Vice President and Operations Officer in November of 1977. She earned many awards and honors for her work there.

Rose was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of her life. She had and has a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, She loved teachng the little ones in Primary for over 30 years. She was the Stake Sports Director, First Councilor in Young Women's and LDS Financial Advisor at USU. She enjoyed working in the Logan Temple and faithfully served as a visiting teacher for most of her life.

Traveling to many different countries, parks, religious programs and other locations with her friends was some of her favorite activities. After 41 years at Zions, RosaLee retired. What a shock! At this time she decided to meet her sister JoLynn in Yuma AZ. She became a "Snowbird". She loved it and spent the next twenty years leaving in October and returning in March. Rose and Jo were known as "the girls" or "the twins" in Westward RV Park. They were very active with the singles in the park and in the church. She did a lot of golfing, and other activities with the singles and special little trips. We also had the opportunity to go to the temple in Los Angeles each month. A lot of RosaLee's friends came down to see her so we had a lot of fun showing them around Yuma.

RosaLee left her home in Hyrum after 70 years and moved to a Senior Living (55+) community in Logan. She loved her home, working in her yard and having her home immaculately clean. Rose loved her yard but especially her roses, she loved her beautiful home but after health issues it became too difficult to continue to do all she did. So Rose moved to Legacy House in Logan where she was loved and cared for by the many girls and guys that visited her several time daily.

Rose and JoLynn decided to move one last time to Blacksmith Fork Assisted Living in Hyrum where they could spend their remaining time together. It was like returning home, coming back to Hyrum where it all started before she would return to meet her Savior, her Mother, Father and other loved ones. She was happy at the Blacksmith Fork Assisted Living. She loved the "Angels" that cared for her and loved the time spent with her friends who also resided there.

RosaLee is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers Charles, Keith, Ray (child) and LaVal and one sister, Marguerite and many other special friends and family members. She leaves behind a sister JoLynn Andrus also many nieces and nephews who love her dearly. She will be missed so much by all those she loved and those who loved her.

There will be a viewing on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Allen-Hall Mortuary 34 E Center, Logan. The funeral will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the LDS Hyrum church located at 600 South 200 East, Hyrum. A viewing will precede the funeral from 9:30-10:30 AM.
