Ruth Constance Carlson, 94, of Logan Utah passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, at Roaring Fork Assisted Living in Glenwood Springs, Colorado leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family.

Ruth was born on April 17, 1932, in Logan, Utah, the youngest of three children born to Vincent Stark Carlson and Anna Blickensterfer Carlson. Growing up as the youngest in her family, Ruth shared a special bond with her siblings, Helen Maughan and Reid Carlson. She was preceded in death by both her sister and brother, whose memories remained an important part of her life.

Throughout her 94 years, Ruth was a source of kindness, wisdom, and warmth to those who knew her. She built a life centered on love, family and service to others. Her gentle spirit, resilience, and caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Ruth’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great- grandmother who cherished the time she spent creating memories, offering support, and sharing her love with those closest to her. Her family will forever treasure the lessons she taught, the stories she shared, and the unconditional love she gave.

Ruth’s life was also marked by her many leadership positions in the LDS church, many friendships, and contributions to her community. She was a graduate of Logan High School, Utah State University and UCLA. She was an instructor at BYU. Whether through her work, friendships, hobbies, or acts of kindness, Ruth made the world around her a better place.

She will be remembered for her compassion, strength, generosity, and the quiet ways she made others feel valued and cared for. Her legacy lives on through the family and friends who continue to carry her love and memory forward.

Ruth is survived by Carrie Halverson Wells and son-in-law Joseph Wells, Charles Aric Halverson and daughter-in-law Theresa Halverson, David Halverson and daughter-in-law Ana Halverson. Grandchildren include Aaron Halverson, Kendall Nielson, Tara McGraw, Whitney Chavez, Chase Halverson, Quinn Bennett, Sydney Wells Ortner, Jonathan Wells, and Lily Halverson. Great Grandchildren include Lincoln Nielson and Ella Ortner. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent Stark Carlson and Anna Blickensterfer Carlson; her sister, Helen Maughan; her brother, Reid Carlson and her son Jon Allan Halverson.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held Friday, August 7, 2026 at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan, Utah with a reception from 10:30 am to 11:30 am followed by a funeral service at 11:45 am. Interment at Logan City Cemetery. In honoring Ruth’s memory, the family invites friends and loved ones to remember the many ways she brought love, kindness, and joy into the lives of others.

Ruth’s life was a blessing to all who knew her, and her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved.
