Ruth Spillman Martin

Ruth Spillman Martin was born May 25, 1932 to parents Francis Lyman Spillman and Alice Carling Spillman in Logan, Utah. Growing up in a house that her father built around the block from her grandparents Samuel Spillman and Camilla Morrell Spillman. Her grandmother Mary Elizabeth Lovell Carling lived with her family there on 1st North in Logan.

In December 1952 she married James Osborne Martin in the Logan temple. They had five children- Alan; Eleanor (Lindy); Mary Louise (Marylou); Barbara (Bobbi); and Camilla (Millie).

She served in many church callings through the years, but she loved the years that she and her husband served as temple officiators most.

She was preceded in death by her son Alan, younger siblings- Joseph Spillman, as well as Alice Spillman Anderson, her husband James passed away 5 and 1/2 years before her. Ruth finished her time here on earth May 21st, 2025, just four days before her 93rd birthday. Reuniting with her husband, son, brother, and sister as well as her parents.
