Scottine Elaine Shaw Worley (Scottie) age 79, beautifully mastered life bringing smiles, love, friendship, and eternal hope to all who knew her, joined family, friends, and her Savior on Oct. 17, 2026 in heaven.
Scottie loved life, children, her Savior Jesus Christ and most of all, her family. Every moment of everyday she would be thinking of her children, grandchildren, and all other family members. Once her smile caught you, you were now family. She accepted everyone as beautiful, intelligent children from God. Her favorite song to sing was “I Am a Child of God.” She sang it to all who blessed her with their presence.
Scottie spent most of her early years in Midvale, Utah, the oldest of four children. After graduating high school, Scottie moved to Logan to attend USU. While at USU, she met her eternal companion Charles (Chuck) Worley. They were married in the Logan, Utah temple in 1968. Five children were born: Waco, Heath, Jamie, Meredith (a stillborn twin of Jamie) and Lance.
Scottie put her own personal life on hold to be a stay at home mom trying to wrangle four hooligans. After the children were all in school, she began working at Woodruff Elementary, doing what she truly loved by providing love, compassion, and intelligent learning, to the students as a personal aide, classroom teacher aide, and Chapter One reading program director. Whatever the challenge, all students loved Mrs. Worley. She worked until the time Chuck needed her help with his failing health.
Scottie was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in multiple callings. Primary is where she loved most to be. Teaching youth about Jesus was truly her happiest place. Scottie was LOVE, PURE LOVE.
Scottie loved being with her grandchildren. She always found ways to spoil them with love. Up until her last breath she talked about them and how much she loved them.
She spent the last 18 months in loving care at Terrace Grove assisted living center due to a terrible disease, dementia. Although the disease took away some of her normal functions, the desire to help never lessened. She would spend her days assisting the staff with taking out garbage and providing water for residents. Her soft touch, beautiful smile, kind words, and happy wave brought great joy to the residents and staff.
Scottie is now whole once again, tirelessly helping others in heaven with her love.
She is preceded in death by her mother Elaine Shaw, father Lynn Shaw, her husband Chuck Worley, daughter Meredith, granddaughter Ariana Worley, and two brothers, Forrest and Terrance Shaw.
Survivors include son Waco (Jamie), Logan, son Heath, Logan, daughter Jamie, North Salt Lake, son Lance (Linnet), Logan, sister Kris (Joe) Keller, Sandy, grandchildren Brayden (Jaiden) Worley, Layton, Kennedy Worley, Murray, Elizabeth Worley, Murray, and Vivian Worley, Logan and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
