Sharell Ann Baird Eames passed away Friday, May 8, 2026, after a valiant battle with an aggressive form of cancer.
She was born Feb. 21, 1939, in Great Falls, Montana to Glenn T and Evelyn Mair Baird. She married Richard Olsen Eames in the Logan Temple on Sept. 21, 1961.
Above all, she loved being a mom and grandma. They were her favorite titles. She loved her garden, baseball (especially the LA Dodgers), balloons, Bear Lake, the Wellsville mountains, jeep rides, clouds, mowing her lawn, sunsets, fall colors, primary, her transistor radio, any and all newspapers, astronomy (especially Orion), ushering at the Eccles Theatre, the Hokey Pokey, Sunday drives, temples, Pres. Hinckley, picking chokecherries, Wendy’s Frosty, chunky peanut butter, outdoor clothes lines, dirt under her fingernails, and bottled peaches.
Mom was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and spent her life serving others. Her testimony of the Savior’s Atonement carried her through the most difficult time of her life.
Sharell is survived by her children Karen (Jamie) Johnson, David (Heather) Eames, her grandchildren Amanda (Matthew) Ralphs, Stefani (Erik) Smith, Abby Eames, Zackary (Alisha) Eames, her great grandchildren, her siblings Charlene (Mark) Austin, Jennifer (Larry) McCracken, Dennis (Pam) Baird, Janet (Michael) Smith, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Richard, son Michael, parents, brother Theron Baird, brother-in-law Emerson Eames and sister-in-law Loretta Eames Mullins.
There will be a viewing on Friday, May 15th from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. at Allen-Hall Mortuary located at 34 E Center, Logan. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16th at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the LDS meeting house located at 309 S. Main Providence, Utah. Burial will be in the Providence City Cemetery.
We would like to express our thanks and gratitude to the caregivers at Maple Springs, IHC Cancer Center, CNS, and Logan Wound Care, who provided such loving and tender care for our mom.
Funeral services are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary.
