Stella Olson Pearce

October 28, 1931 — June 13, 2023

Stella Mary Olson Pearce 91, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away at home of natural causes on June 13, 2023. She was a woman of unwavering love and devotion born on October 28, 1931, in Logan, Utah, to Stella Kent and Leslie Olson. Her childhood years were spent alongside her parents, brother Arnold, and sister Lulu, as they moved to Klickitat, Washington.

On November 21, 1947, at the tender age of 16, Stella embarked on a lifelong journey with the love of her life, Ivan Willard (Bill) Pearce.

Bill and Stella eventually settled in River Heights, Utah, where they lovingly raised their two children, Jeff and Kathleen. Family held an unparalleled significance in Stella's life, serving as her foundation and driving force.

In 1977 she joined River Heights Elementary School as a kitchen assistant, steadily rising through the ranks to become the manager. Eventually, she transitioned to Spring Creek Middle School, where she continued to oversee the kitchen operations.

Although Stella remained a private person, her unwavering faith and profound connection with Jesus Christ shaped her existence. Her belief and testimony were a powerful force, quietly influencing those around her.

In her later years Stella found immeasurable joy in the presence of her 3 grandchildren: Joshua, Kyle, and Marissa and later, with the addition of Kat's stepson, Zander.

With the arrival of her great-grandchildren, she became known affectionately as G.G. and witnessing her family's growth brought her pure delight.

Stella's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and her sole desire was for their safety and happiness. Throughout the years she never missed a play, game, or graduation involving her beloved family members, always assuming the role of their most enthusiastic cheerleader.

Whenever her physical condition allowed, she embarked on adventures, particularly relishing visits to her daughter on the East Coast during the summers.

As her body grew weaker, in her later years, Stella found solace in the loving care provided by her devoted son. He stood by her side during her time of need, serving as her caregiver until the very end.

Her absence will be deeply felt, as her infectious laughter, remarkable sense of humor, and boundlessly loving heart leave an irreplaceable void.

Stella Mary Olson Pearce is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill, as well as her sister Lulu and brother Jimmy. She is survived by her brother Arnold (Ardean), sisters Love and Hollie, son Jeff (Donna), daughter Kathleen (Paul), grandchildren Joshua (Aline), Kyle, Marissa (Armando), and Zander along with her 9 great-grandchildren. Bryon, Eva, Abigail, Jameson, Ella, Kai, Harper, Aubrey and Sandra.

A graveside service will be held at Providence Cemetery, in River Heights, on Tuesday, June 20th at 1 P.M. as a final tribute to Stella's remarkable life and the enduring legacy of love she leaves behind. Arrangements are being made by Allen-Hall mortuary.
