Tami And Curtis Andersen

Nibley, Utah: Tami Adella Andersen, 28, lost her life on December 5, 2008 in a tragic accident in Sardine Canyon.
Our sweet daughter, Tami, was born on July 29, 1980 in the Logan hospital. She was a beautiful little girl with long blonde hair. She was a very caring and giving child.
Tami attended school at Millville Elementary, Spring Creek and South Cache, and graduated from Mountain Crest High School in 1998. She continued her education at New Horizons Beauty School and graduated in 2000.
Tami married Curtis Andersen on May 3, 2001. Shortly thereafter, on July 1st, Curtis and Tami began building their home in Nibley along with Neighborhood Non-Profit. This was a very fun time for them as they both worked at their jobs and spent their evenings and Saturday’s building their home with family and friends, including Tami’s best friend, Amanda.
Tami and Curtis moved into their home in February of 2003 and their beautiful little girl, Kylee, was born on November 11, 2003. Curtis and Tami love her more than words can express and were elated to be her mommy and daddy. Tami was a teacher in Kylee’s primary class and loved every minute of it. She quit when she was ready to have her sweet little boy, Jaxon. Jaxon was born on January 6, 2007. He is loved so much and they were so happy to have him in their family. Kylee is an amazing big sister to Jaxon and loves her little brother tremendously, and Jaxon love his “Ky-Ky.”
Tami began working as a teacher’s aide this year at Canyon Elementary in Hyrum. Kylee and Jaxon had a rough time not having their mommy at home. Curtis and Tami decided it would be best if Tami quit and became a full-time mom again – the job she was most suited for and loved the most.
Tami was always watching out for others and wanted to take care of anyone who needed her, from children to adults. Whether she had the resources or not, Tami would find a way to brighten the days of those in need. She often spoke about how someday, she’d like to adopt a “Wednesday’s Child.” She was always doing things for her mom and dad and was always sure to let them know how much she loved and appreciated them. She called them on the phone at least 5 times a day, whether we’d just been together or not. It will be so hard to no longer have those calls.
Tami never asked for much, just a happy family and to be able to provide a fulfilled life for her children. She had a fun laugh and we could always laugh with her over anything. Her dad, mom and family will miss those times as well as her uplifting personality. Tami had an enormous love for babies, small children and all animals. She leaves behind a dog who thought Tami was its mother. Tami’s favorite times always included being with her family. Tami was always planning things around everyone’s schedules to enable the whole family to be together.
Tami and Curtis will be dearly missed by all whose lives they have affected. Tami was met on the other side by her Grandpa (Christian) and Grandma (Ruth) Nielsen, her Grandpa (Thirol) and Grandma (Maxine) Thurston, her uncle, Bruce Burr and her great-grandparents.
Tami is survived by her sweet little miracle children, Kylee Adella and Jaxon Curtis Andersen, her mom and dad, Lynn and Brenda Thurston of Hyrum, her brother Travis (Janet) Thurston of Nibley, her brother Brady (Melissa) of Hyrum, her nephews, Tyler and Jake, her nieces, Devani and Jaidyn, her uncle Richard (Margo) Michaelis, aunt Lana Burr, Uncle David (Sandy) Nielsen, her aunt Janice (Matt) Baetge and several loving cousins and friends.
