Teddy Lorraine Hill Elwell, 88, passed away August 9th, 2026. She was born March 11, 1938 to Gilbert E. Hill and Blanch C. Cranney in Mesa Arizona, while they were on vacation there. She was their second born daughter. The first daughter Blanch passed away as a baby. They lived in Star Valley, Wyoming. She went to 1st-8th grade in Etna, Wyoming. In 9th grade, she rode the bus to Afton. Her dad was her bus driver. Teddy loved horses. Her Grandpa & Grandma Hill had a ranch and a small house. She loved to play there with her cousins and sisters Vona Vee, Bonnie and her brother, Spencer.

The family then moved to Preston, Idaho when she was a sophomore in high school. She made several new friends there. In her history class she met Donald Max Elwell who sat behind her and would always be bothering her. They started dating and they both graduated from Preston High School in 1956.

Don & Teddy were engaged and then married in the Logan Temple on August 3rd, 1956. They lived in Preston for a short time, then they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah for Don's work. This is where Cindy was born. They moved to Logan, Utah where Rod was born. Then lived in Smithfield and Amalga, Utah, where Tammy was born there. Pocatello, Idaho was next. But after a few years they missed family and moved back to Preston.

Teddy worked in several places. Don & herself sold Insurance. Teddy worked at Blocks Department store, Polar Bear drive-in, Anderson Lumber, JC Penney and First Security Bank. Don got a job offer in Idaho Falls so they moved there. She worked at the bank there and retired in 1999 after 23 years in banking. She was a classy lady. She had many different hairstyles, shoes, purses and jewelry.

They then moved to their last home in Providence, Utah, to take care of Teddy's mother. She loved the many friends they made over the years in the many places they lived. Her hobbies were crocheting, camping and fishing with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to read. She loved her 2 dogs they went on walks with. She loved flowers and gardening. She also was a big fan of the Utah Jazz and watched a lot of games with her mom.

We want to thank all the workers at Heritage Senior Center in Preston for taking care of and being "Best Friends" to her. Also, thanks to Franklin County Medical Center for their tender service to her in passing.
