Valerie Ann Tingey

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Valerie Ann (Fawcett) Tingey on July 29, 2026.

Valerie was born on April 23, 1976, in Long Beach, California, to Grant Eugene and Kathy Lynn Fawcett. Though life took her to many places, Logan, Utah became the home where she built countless memories and was surrounded with the people who loved her most.

More than anything, Valerie was a proud and quietly devoted mother to Taylor and George. They were the center of her world, and she loved them with all her heart. Her greatest happiness came from them and their every accomplishment, big or small. She always spoke of them lovingly no matter how much time had passed since their last visit, as life has kept them busy. She loved Taylor and George fiercely.

Valerie is lovingly remembered by her parents, Grant and Kathy Fawcett; her children, Taylor Tingey and George Tingey; her sisters, Brandi Corbridge (Tighe), Trisha Reis, Kelli Johnson (Jeremy), and Stacy Skipp (Chris); and her brother, Blaine Fawcett (Jenny). She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives she touched.

Valerie was preceded in death by her grandparents.

She lived with a caring heart and a generous spirit. Whether she was shopping, helping a friend in need, spending time with family, bringing everyone their favorite drink, or simply relaxing and sharing a laugh with those around her, Valerie had a way of making people feel welcomed and loved. She always showed kindness, generosity, patience and thoughtfulness to those around her, whether it was a longtime friend or new acquaintance she met in line at the store. If there was something that she didn’t like, she had no problem letting you know her opinion about it. Valerie will be remembered for the countless ways she quietly made life better for those fortunate enough to know her.

Valerie’s story cannot be measured only by dates or milestones but by the love she gave, the relationships she nurtured, and the family she treasured. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the memories she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed every day and lovingly remembered always.

A private graveside service will be held for the family. We are deeply grateful for the kindness, prayers, and support as we remember and celebrate Valerie’s life.
