After his mission he came home and bred Simatall cattle and sold them to one of America's biggest cattle ranches "Flying Diamond Ranches" out of Texas, Florida, and Idaho. He only did this for a short time because he wanted to get married.

Blaine and Lela had 4 children. Tory, Helen, Brenda, Sid. and then later on adopted their grandson Jason at the age of 2.

Blaine and his family later on moved from Taylorsville to Hunter which was closer to his family farm. Where he taught his children many life skills, like gardening, raising and harvesting crops, Cattle and more.

After retirement from the US Army he moved his family to his family home in Logan, Utah, where he resided until his passing.
