William James Stark

William James Stark passed away on May 9, 2026, in Logan, UT at the age of 81. He was born on July 20, 1944, at Bushnell Hospital in Brigham City, UT to Clarence and Joyce (Hillam) Stark. Bill went to school in Brigham City, UT and joined the US Army serving in Vietnam. Upon returning from Vietnam, he went to work at Hill Air Force Base and worked there until his retirement. Upon his retirement he lived for a short time in Vernal, UT and returned to Logan, UT so he could live closer to Bear Lake where he spent a great deal of time.

Bill loved animals. During his final months of life, he found strength in Mollie, a loving service dog trained and owned by son Matt Stark. Mollie will miss him very much.

He is survived by his companion Linda McGee, Son Matthew (Leslie) Stark of Tremonton, UT and daughter Emily Peters of Brigham City, UT . Also surviving are his Grandchildren: Makayla Stark Tremonton, UT, Chase (Payton) Stark Corinne, UT, Austin Stark (Abby) Tremonton, UT, Ruger Stark Tremonton, UT, Cody Bell and Kelsey Bell of Tremonton, UT. Great Grandchildren: Haven Stark, Luke Stark, of Tremonton, UT, Kaizlynn Stark, Bexleigh Stark, and Oaklee Stark all of Corinne, UT. In addition, he is survived by his siblings: Carol (Grant) White of Paradise, UT, Jack (Elaine) Stark of Brigham City, UT, and Geraldine Whopshall of Nevada. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was pre-deceased by his mother, father, sister Jean Wagstaff of Perry, UT, and baby sister Mary Ellen Stark of Billings, MT.
