Brandon Banham

April 8, 1967 — April 21, 2022

Brandon Edward Banham passed away on April 21, 2022, surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer. He will be loved and missed beyond the words we can express.

Brandon was born on a beautiful day in April and was the first of nine children for Ed and Wanda Banham. Brandon loved being a big brother which was reflected in the way he treated each of his siblings. It didn’t matter how many years in age they were apart, they were all his best friends. His parents, brothers, and sisters were his favorite people to be with and they were always laughing and joking with each other. Love of others carried over to extended family, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends he gained over the years. The values of industry, integrity, courage, seeking education, and serving others were taught in his home and were some of the many attributes he possessed.

After graduating from Mountain Crest High School and serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in St. Louis, Missouri, Brandon married Jill Fonnesbeck in the Logan, Utah, LDS temple. They were blessed with three amazing children and loved spending time supporting them whether it was in school, church, or recreational activities. Dad and grandpa were the titles he loved most of all. Family was his highest priority.

Brandon loved the outdoors and enjoyed time hiking and camping in some of the most beautiful places on earth. He loved sports, all kinds of music, and playing the guitar. After his kids were raised he played bass in a classic rock band with some of his best friends. Brandon loved working with his hands and built four beautiful homes for his family to live in.

Brandon learned to work hard growing up in the Banham home and at a young age looked forward to spending his summers working construction with his dad and brothers. He was taught to always do his very best and take pride in a job well done. One could say that to him, working is what he considered to be the most fun. This work ethic transferred over to accomplishing many other things in his life such as obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Utah State University and in his career.

Brandon spent 20 years of his career working for Design Analysis and then went on to Campbell Scientific where he has been employed for the last 5 years. He always tried to represent his employer in the best way possible. He loved the people he worked with and they were considered an extension of his family.
Brandon was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings but his favorite was working with the youth. He enjoyed teaching them the gospel, practical life skills, a love for work, as well as getting them out into the mountains to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

He is survived by his wife Jill, their 3 children and spouses Randon (Megan), Jaceson (Alexis), Taijsha Breckelle Cooper (Riley), one granddaughter, and many immediate and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Ed Banham, and sister, Krecia Petersen.

A viewing will be held in his honor on Wednesday, April 27th from 6-8 pm at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan, and on April 28th from 10-11:30 am with the funeral following at 12:00 pm at the Millville Stake Center, 360 E 450 N, Millville, Utah.

The family would like to thank friends and family who have been so kind and generous in their words, thoughts and actions. We are humbled by the love and support we have received from everyone. Special thanks to Campbell Scientific, the doctors, nurses from Intermountain Hospice, and other medical professionals who were working so tirelessly to help Brandon. We love you all!
